Hi everyone, my name is Rebecca and I am The Bookworm! I am the eldest of seven children, a homeschool graduate and an avid reader. My Mom instilled in me a love for reading when I was very young and I would still rather be reading than doing anything else! ;) When I was seven years old I gave my life to Jesus. I had come to the point where I understood that I was a sinner and that I could do nothing to save myself, I needed a Savior! (For ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23) That Savior is Jesus Christ, He paid for sin on the cross of Calvary; once, for all! (But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8) Since that day my life has never been the same! Christ has changed my life completely! I now desire to live my life for Him, not for myself.
After I graduated from high school, I spent a lot of time praying about what the Lord wanted me to do next. Should I go to college? Should I go to work? I didn’t feel the Lord leading in either direction, but felt rather that I should stay at home and help my Mom with homeschool and with our family ministry. Around this same time my Mom and I started the VERY BIG project of cataloging our books. As we started cataloging and organizing we realized that we had quite a few duplicates. Someone then suggested that I try to sell them online. This would solve two problems: Getting the books off of our shelves and give me enough income to pay for my car insurance! :) It was a lot of work, but it took off! Now I have a small used book business that allows me the excitement of finding wonderful books and helping other homeschoolers add to their libraries.
On this blog I will share reviews for some of the books I have read and other random bits of book-related topics. I welcome any questions and/or comments.
